Prices listed on this site are for rental for a 48 hour period unless otherwise noted. Weekend rentals are generally from Friday through Monday. If you require a longer rental period, please contact our office for rate information. All charges are for time out whether equipment is used or not.
Capers Party Rental, Inc, reserves the right to refuse service to anyone if we fee the service will not serve the best interests of both parties. Rental items may not be transported out of our service area without written permission.
Rental prices (rates) based on "each" charge, and intended for single event use. Prices are for time out and not time used or time unused. Prices listed on this site are in USD. Rates may change at any time without notice.
Capers Party Rental, Inc has a $200 dollar minimum (not including delivery charges) on delivered orders. If you wish to pick up your order, there is no minimum rental.
Rental items can be picked up from and returned to the warehouse by appointment (hours). Capers employees will be happy to help the customer load their car or truck but the customer must tie down their own loads. El Dorado County has tie down requirements and Capers will not be responsible for loads that are not tied appropriately. Capers employees have been instructed to NOT assist in tying operations or give advice how to tie loads. The customer is responsible for tying loads in their vehicle.
For an additional fee, rental items can be delivered ground level to a dock, door, garage, or yard that is immediately accessible to our trucks (within 30 feet). Items must be restacked and ready for pick-up in the same manner and place as delivered. Curbside delivery/pickup is only available for rental orders over $200 (or for orders of items where delivery is required). Additional delivery/setup fees apply if rental items need to be moved over stairs, or uneven or unpaved terrine, need to be moved more than 30 feet from the truck, or need to be setup. Please make these arrangements in advance. Capers Party Rental, Inc. is pleased to offer timed delivery appointments at no additional charge. That is we will be at your location when you want us there. We can only do this if customers cooperate by letting us know how difficult/easy deliveries will be.
Capers staff can completely setup the rental items for your next event. Fees for Setup and Strike services are quoted at time of order and are in addition to delivery charges. Prices generally run around $25 per hour per person needed.
Capers Party Rental, Inc. makes timed delivery/pickup appointments at no additional charge. If we are 15 minutes either way we will call you (provided there is cell service) and let you know we are running late/early. Customers schedules get hectic just before big events and we want to make renting from us a easy as possible. So we don’t want you waiting around half a day for a delivery when you have more important things to be doing.
The renter must sign the rental contract at (or before) delivery. We realize for some events (like weddings) it is inconvenient for the Renter to be at the delivery location when the items are delivered. Arrangements can be made to sign the rental contract before the delivery and deliver the goods into the hands of a designated site contact. Either way, the Renter or a designated site contact MUST be present at delivery of rental items. Capers Party Rental will NOT leave items in a location that is unattended or with persons unknown even if those persons claim to represent the Renter. Please don't make us drive away with your rental items still in the truck!
A deposit of 20% of order will reserve the rental items for you for the order dates.
Final counts are required 2 weeks before the delivery date. Payment in full is required 7 days before delivery date. For large orders (orders over $1000) or orders that require special purchases, 50% reservation deposit may be required, you will be notified at the time you place the order if this is the case. Full payment will be required on orders placed less than 7 days from date of delivery.
Capers Party Rental, Inc. accepts cash and checks. No Credit Card Processing is available at a this time. Customers who's checks are returned from the bank will be charged applicable fees and the reservation will be forfit.
Capers Party Rental, Inc. has already paid sales tax (use tax) on rental items at the time we purchaed them. Therefore we do not collect sales tax on the rental rates. However, sales tax will be collected on items for sale and services.
The contracting individual (renter), or company is responsible for the security from theft of all equipment from the time of delivery to the time of pickup.
Responsibility for equipment condition remains with the customer from time of receipt until time of return. Capers expects the rental items to be returned in the manner in which they were delivered minus normal wear and tear. Please be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather at all times. The customer will be charged the replacement cost for damaged or missing items, including boxes, crates, and carts.
Please check your order upon receipt and report any damaged or missing items. You will be charged for items reported broken AFTER your event.

Customers may cancel orders up to 7 days prior to scheduled delivery time. Orders canceled less than 7 days prior to delivery will be charged a cancelation fee equal to the reservation deposit. Orders canceled after the items are loaded in the truck are subject to the cancelation fee and a 50% restocking fee. If items can be re-rented after a cancelation, we will try to refund as much possible after our costs are considered.
Capers allows late orders (orders made within 7 days of scheduled delivery) if the items are available and if scheduled staff can handle the additional work load. Full payment is required immediately to secure the order.
Renter may be subject to additional cleaning , re-sorting or damage charges if rental items are not returned as rented. Capers expects the rental items to be returned in the manner in which they were delivered minus normal wear and tear. See Caring and Cleaning your rental items for more information.
